SYNOPSIS |
초상사진의 형식 속에서 극단적 클로즈업으로 포착된 인물들의 표정과 도시 다큐멘타리의 맥락 속에 있는 극부감의 풍경이 충돌하는 이 작품은, 도시/배경과 인물/전경의 전치된 감각을 통해 여행의 기록을 스쳐가는 여정 속에서 주체의 부유함이 풍경의 본래적인 완고함과 찰나적으로 마주침으로써 결국 하나의 다른 풍경이 되어 사라져가는 반복을 다루고 있다.
In the form of portrait, "Glance and Focus" makes the collision between the full shots in the context of city documentation and the big close-ups capturing people` s faces.
It is also making the transposed sense between city/background and portrait/foreground so that the emerging and simultaneously vanishing repetitions form
the temporary moment of facing with the encounter of the floating subject in the city and the nature stubborn of background.
